You may ask...how
hard is it to burn a candle, and why do I need tips?
If you love
candles, you may want to take these small steps to ensure your
candles last as long as possible and burn clean.
The biggest thing
you can do to make sure your candle burns great is to trim the
wick to 1/4". If the wick is too long, it may produce a lot
of soot
If you accidentally
trim the wick too short, light the candle, let it burn about 5
minutes to melt a small amount of wax. When the wax is melted to
the size of a quarter, extinguish the flame and pour the
melted wax into a trash can. This will help the get the wick
to the correct length.
Here is the nitty
gritty.
Container Burning
Instructions
- To prevent smoking
and soot buildup, keep wick centered and trimmed to
1/4".
|
- For best results,
burn your candle an hour per inch of diameter. This
means a candle that is 2 1/2" in diameter should
be burned 2 1/2 hours. This will help the candle burn
clean all the way down.
|
- Keep burning candle
out of drafts and away from pets and children.
|
- Never leave a burning
candle unattended.
|
- Discontinue use when
only 1/4" of wax remains.
